Mr. Breckenridge later moved to Columbus, OH to continue his funeral career by working for McNabb Funeral Home in the historic King-Lincoln Bronzeville community. He would later serve for the late great John W. Ross, Jr., the oldest Black Funeral Director in the State of Ohio at J.W. Ross Funeral Home.

William served in the United States Army in 1963. He also started his life-long career as a minister by attending Ohio Christian University in Circleville, OH.

He retired from Funeral service to become a minister and work for the Columbus City school board and the Ohio Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation for over 30 years.

William would go onto have six children, one of which, would further the legacy of prestige Funeral service that he had once started.

Sadly, our founder William H. Breckenridge passed away on January 13, 2008, but his gift, memory and contributions to this country and the families he served, to the community where he lived and the Christian faith that he preached will never pass away.
